This is a celebratory blog!! I continue to be blown away by the generosity of friends and family and their support of kingdom work being done around the world!

Thanks to you all, enough money was raised to fund a total of 9 full toilets and some change to the community we had been living in outside of Chichicastenango (more pictures and another blog to come on the delivery of some toilets). But then the Lord stepped in a said, “Here’s some more.”

Our last day of ministry consisted of our teams doing some grocery shopping for the two construction workers (Wallow & Luis, pictured below) that we had the blessing of working with for the past two months. Our teams pooled up our money, loaded up the carts at the store and bags in the market and set out to visit the homes of our new friends. On our way, I asked our host, Juan, if either of these two families had toilets in their homes. Not able to give me a certain answer, I asked if we could take a look during our visits today and if they didn’t, that some of our money raised could go to providing toilets for them. I was a bit nervous to ask because the money was supposed to be for his community and both of them live in another community. But he happily agreed.

Sadly, our time at their houses came and  went and neither of us remembered to keep an eye out for toilets or ask them directly.

However, the next day I logged into my PayPal account to transfer all the funds you wonderful people donated towards toilets to find $120, the exact amount we had needed to fund two more toilets. I spend more time than I probably should have trying to trace where this money had come from. After checking my complete account history, personal transfers, and transfers from others I was unable to identify where this money had come from. There was no trace of it.

I can’t help but think those funds were a blessing from the Lord to provide these two families toilets without taking anything away from the funds raised for Juan’s community. I continue to stand in awe of the ways the Lord never stops showing us his goodness, even if we don’t always get to see it… more to come on that later

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! Know you’re truly making a difference for the kingdom in the world.
