Hi, everyone!
My name is Micah Torgerson. I am twenty-three years old and was born and raised in Watertown, Wisconsin but now reside in Milwaukee. I love spending time with my family! I have two older sisters, a younger brother, and a total of five nieces and nephews (including a set of twins)!
I graduated college from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in May of 2018. Since graduation I’ve been working at a public accounting in the greater Milwaukee area as an audit/tax accountant focusing primarily in the nonprofit industry.
In the summer of 2016 I had the opportunity to go on my first ever mission trip through an organization called Love Feeds OUR World and spent a week serving in the small community of Macomb, Haiti. I fell in love with the mission work and the people so quickly that I returned on my second trip just two months later and have been on two additional trips since then.
That first mission trip to Haiti opened my eyes and heart to what it means to live a life of service and I’ve since been involved with various other service opportunities through Love Feeds OUR World, my workplace, as well as my new church, Victory of the Lamb in Franklin, WI. I am beyond excited and thankful to be getting out from behind my office desk and into the world to serve with the World Race and I hope you’ll follow and support me on this journey in any way you’re able!
