Yes, you read that correctly! I’m FULLY FUNDED for the World Race! The Lord has funded my World Race!

I seriously can’t thank all of my supporters enough for walking alongside me in this journey with the Lord, around the world. I think back to 15 months ago when I discovered the World Race and thought raising $18,000 would be impossible. So impossible that it wasn’t even worth sending in my application. The Lord proved me wrong and I couldn’t be more excited to admit that!

I’m currently sitting in a coffee shop in Costa Rica writing this and that’s all because of you, my supporters. I wouldn’t be doing any of this without your support! So thank you for investing in me. And more importantly for investing in the Kingdom of God! I’m really excited to be able to share how the Lord is moving here in Costa Rica but I’ll save that for another time!

Let’s talk about launching for the World Race!

It’s been about a week and a half since I packed up all my things and officially left Wisconsin to begin the World Race. However, the first 5 days were made up of additional training and quarantine in Gainesville, GA.

Arriving in Gainesville we were immediately shocked by our circumstances. I had expectations that launch would be just a continuation of our H Squad training camp awesomeness. But instead, we were met with 10x15 boxes each team was confined to in order to keep everyone COVID free. We ate, slept, and did all of our trainings inside these boxes. Even when stepping outside on breaks, we were only allowed to closely intersect with our own team of 7 individuals. Something I had been praying for our team was intentional time together, without distractions of the outside world and other teams/squad members. The Lord certainly answered that prayer, and in abundance!

It was different and a challenge for sure but was ultimately worth it for everyone’s health and safety. After five days of launch activities our squad of 48 said "peace out" to the Adventures In Missions base and hit the field!

After a nice long layover and a bumpy bus ride, our team finally arrived in sunny, warm Jacó, Costa Rica! We were greeted with a nice warm 3:30am welcome from our awesome ministry host, Hannah, and it’s all history from there!

More on our ministry so far in Jaco to come soon!
